- As a long time CanDo user, I'd like to give you and everyone in this thread
- a little info on CanDo. Fundamentally, CanDo would be a good example of an
- implementation of a VisualBasic-like app builder on the Amiga. While it
- started out (five-six years ago?) much more closely oriented around the
- HyperCard paradigm, it has really grown into a much broader, flexible and
- capable app builder than HC could ever hope to be.

-
- CanDo is MUCH more than this.

-
- Rather innaccurate. The CanDo language is much closer to Basic in style,
- quite removed from HyperCard's almost sentence oriented code style. I'd be
- glad to supply code samples if you or anyone were interested.
-
- Frankly, I'm rather amazed at the activity in this VisualBasic thread on
- having VB on the Amiga, when CanDo had been available for years.
-
- In the last few days, I really appreciated being given a demo of building
- an App in the NeXT AppBuilder. While the NextStep AppBuilder is thoroughly
- Object Oriented and obviously benefits from a an OO OS underneath, I was
- amazed at the simularities of CanDo's app building approach.
-
- Finally, it would love to see significant, serious interest result in the
- resumption of CanDo support and development. How much interest is there
- really?
